Esses princípios são fundamentais para nortear nossas decisões diárias, facilitando a convivência em sociedade e nos conduzindo ao caminho da evolução e do auto conhecimento.&lt;br /&gt;São muitos os princípios morais e éticos citados ao longo da história do Yoga. Cada tradição, cada mestre, escolhe um yama ou niyama em que colocará ênfase , já que cada um dos preceitos contém a essência de todos os outros.&lt;br /&gt;Yamas representam as orientações de conduto social e interação com os demais.O termo Yama significa : frear,conter,governar,suprimir,moderar.&lt;br /&gt;Niyamas inclui as orientações de conduta pessoal e atitude interior. O termo Niyama significa: refrear,segurar,prevenir,controlar,limitação e restrição.&lt;br /&gt;No Yoga sutra ( texto atribuído a Patanjali- o codificador do Yoga clássico) são citados 10 principios.&lt;br /&gt;Deixamos bem claro que esses princípios não são obrigatórios aos praticantes de Yoga, mas contribuirão muito para o aperfeiçoamento total da sua pratica.&lt;br /&gt;Veremos a seguir o primeiro Yama:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="color:#3333ff;"&gt;AHINSÁ: não – violência&lt;/span&gt; &lt;/div&gt;&lt;div align="justify"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;A prática de Ahimsa é um dever ou uma condição para a prática do yoga.Ahimsa significa não-violência para com todos os seres. A violência é uma fonte de sofrimento, portanto Ahimsa pode ser considerada a prática de evitar causar sofrimento a todos os seres, sejam eles em um corpo ou sem ele. Muito mais do que apenas não agredir fisicamente ou à violência física a outros, Ahimsa é primariamente a não-violência de si mesmo.Ver a não-violência como sendo apenas o ato de não matar ou machucar alguém é uma visão limitada. A Não-Violência real é o estado de não machucar alguém verbalmente, mentalmente e fisicamente. Como já foi dito, o principal aspecto da prática é a ausência de agressividade interior, ou seja, a não-violência de si mesmo e a conquista do respeito próprio.Pois, é impossível qualquer forma de respeito pleno sem a fluidez do amor. É impossível qualquer forma de comprometimento pleno sem a percepção do amor. Ame esse momento, cada passo, cada experiência!E o Cosmos irá se comprometer com você.Somente assim encontraremos o real respeito.Aquele que observa a prática da não-violência obtém sucesso na eliminação dos sentimentos de inimizade. Os pránáyámas também agem diretamente sobre nossa energia, aumentando-a e melhorando sua distribuição pelo corpo.Yoganidra: aqui, aprendemos a descontrair conscientemente cada músculo e cada parte do nosso corpo. Depois, nos imaginamos envolvidos por uma cor específica ou passeamos mentalmente por praias paradisíacas, belas montanhas, campos floridos, etc. Tudo isso para que possamos sair da agitação do cotidiano e perceber outras formas de viver com mais tranqüilidade. A serenidade advinda desses momentos é deliciosa e permanece por vários dias.Samyama: aqui aprendemos a nos concentrar para chegarmos a meditação. É sentar-se quieto e observar a si mesmo. Estamos sempre preocupados em conhecer tudo aquilo que está ao nosso redor mas nos empenhamos muito pouco em descobrir o que acontece dentro de nós: como lidamos com os fatos da vida, como pensamos, como sentimos, quais nossas verdadeiras aspirações. A meditação nos oferece a possibilidade de nos conhecermos mais profundamente.O Yoga atua em todos os níveis do nosso ser: físico, mental e emocional. Mas o que torna o Yoga único é o fato dele não apenas alongar todas as partes do corpo, mas também massagear os órgãos internos e as glândulas. É esperando entretanto, que a maior parte dos praticantes sinta uma solicitação corporal e desenvolvimento mais intenso em relação a área em que determinado ásana atue de forma mais intensa. O ásana deve ser estável e confortável. Sempre que você estiver realizando os ásanas de equilíbrio, procure realizar o ásana sem encostar na parede( mesmo que você sinta dificuldade no ásana, procure tentar aumentar a sua concentração. Se perder o equilíbrio, refaça o ásana novamente,jamais desista!.) É o sétimo passo para a iluminação de um yogi (praticante de yoga). Existem diversas técnicas e diferentes linhagens de gurus que passam para seus discípulos, o seu conhecimento sobre meditação. Meditar pode significar o ato de esvaziar a mente dos problemas diários e retilíneos, para podermos ter insights de quem somos nós e nos sentirmos um com o todo, o universo. Mas não de uma forma intelectual e sim de uma forma mais intuitiva e sensorial, com a mente superior.Acalmar as ondas cerebrais não é muito fácil, por isso dharana, a concentração, é importante. Para alguns mestres, meditar é estar presente no aqui agora, tranqüilo, tentando ser um observador, procurando não se identificar com o pensamento, não dar continuidade a ele. A prática dos asanas, as posturas, ajuda a manter um corpo sadio, flexível, e também a manter a postura meditativa por um tempo maior sem sentir dor nas costas.
